I cant believe that its already/only been a week.
San Ignacio is great. This is a real travelers destination. We are surrounded by other travelers and expats. Last night we found a nice little expat bar run by a guy from New Orleans. We had a few beers and a lot of laughs. We made more friends. Rob met 2 electricians from the south of the country and they invited us to their hometown. I think that after the Bay Islands, we will try to head back up to Belize for a visa run and try to meet up with them. It would be a great opportunity to see some real Belize and the South is supposed to be beautiful. These guys invited us to come to their mother-in-laws birthday party this afternoon and we are going to take them up on it. Hopefully it wasnt just drunk talk because we are excited to spend more time with local people. That is why we are here and we want to take advantage of every opportunity. Dont worry, Rob has his knife and apparently the international brotherhood of electricians is strong.
Tomorrow we will be doing the big ATM (Actun Tunichil Mucnal) tour. Its a caving tour with some human skeletal remains. Its supposed to be incredible.
